Heavy Duty Black Urethane Cold Pack, Standard Size – 11 inch X 14 inch, NGL-01-3-011

The pack is made of heavy-duty durable urethane sheeting as exterior which can be chilled to a lower temperature of up to 0 degree F ( -17 degree C). This is filled with non-toxic, filtered, biodegradable and formulated bentonite clay. This STANDARD size pack is a re-usable cold pack that offers an effective method of applying cold therapy to a localized area. Place the pack in a chilling unit or freezer, it remains pliable and soft even below freezing.

This pack is specially designed to provide safe and effective cold treatment for pain relief or therapy. It can provide up to 30 minutes of soothing cool relief to help reduce swelling, inflammation and pain from joint and muscle injury. The clay filler inside remains pliable throughout use to target specific areas.  This is therefore a special reusable type of pack for numerous effective and economical treatments.

Chilled pack is recommended to be wrapped in towel or use our microfiber based terry cover before applying to treatment area.

How Does the Exterior Cover Benefit The Product?

This black urethane exterior cover is made of versatile thermoplastic polyurethane, it has properties between the characteristics of plastic and rubber and has several benefits over other elastomers. This is particularly suitable for cold therapy application, such as:

How Does Bentonite Filler Benefits The Body?

The pack is filled with purified biodegradable bentonite clay. This benefits the body because it has the ability to produce a charge that is electrical in nature when it comes in contact with liquid. When the clay touches any type of fluid (normally water), it takes on a different charge and is thought to bind to any present toxins within the fluid.

While in its natural state, bentonite clay has negatively charged molecules. Most toxins and heavy metals have positively charged molecules. This allows the two to bind together easily and stay united while the toxin removal process happens. Upon binding, the clay is then able to help remove toxins, chemicals, impurities and “heavy metals” from the gut, skin and mouth. It essentially “seeks” toxins in the body to bind with because naturally any substance that has a missing ion (which gives it its “charge”) looks for oppositely charged types of substances that will make it complete.

Thermoplastic polyurethane material as the exterior

It is a thermoplastic polyurethane or we called it TPU which is a fully thermoplastic elastomer.
Advantages of thermoplastic polyurethane material

It has low temperature flexibility, therefore a good material for the exterior cover of the packs.
The product is characterized in good elasticity , very flexible and adaptable to environment. This is mainly because thermoplastic polyurethane is considered to be a linear segmented block copolymer that is composed of hard and soft segments. The hard segment is either aliphatic or aromatic. The soft segment is either a polyether or polyester type.
It has a unique structure that allows for greater versatility and has high resilience, good compression set, resistance to impacts, tears, abrasions, weather and hydrocarbons.
It is able to be sterilized and easily processed.

Instructions to use

For Initial Chilling, remove from all packaging materials, then place flat in a chilling unit freezer for about two hours or more.Cold pack is most serviceable when kept in a freezer set at 12° F (-11°C).
Knead contents and apply to affected/treatment area.
Do not chill below 0° F as that may damage the packs.
Monitor skin during application to avoid frostbite. Place a terry cover or hand towel between the skin for protection and comfort.
Treatment time should not exceed 30 minutes.
The packs are reusable.
Place packs in a resealable bag and put it in freezer for future cold therapy use. This will preserve them and prevent them from drying out or getting hard.
Never let the pack dry after use as that will affect their durability – Always keep them in freezer.
