Hot and Cold Compresses

The packs are purely  an unique design which is a combination of reusable hot and cold compresses with a very comfortable short soft plush fabric as the exterior. This material is very resilient and durable, can withstand a good deal of wear and tear. These enable the packs strong and soft with velour/plush like hand feels. The material is also wrinkle-resistant, less fading with quick-drying characteristic.

Our packs not only possess comfortable hand feel, but also conform to the curves of your skin, these advantages enable them with added comfortably when use. Packs are also frost-free, and washable. The soft plush material is laminated with a heavy gauge polyvinyl chloride sheeting that separates it with the inside filler. This combination makes the pack a very good abrasion resistance and mechanical strength. It also enhances its durability and environmental resistance as well.

This short plush polyester material has long been applied in healthcare and athletes for its moisture-wicking properties, strong fiber strength and light weight feel. This particularly increases its flexibility in nature, plus  resistance to wrinkling and shrinking as well.

The packs can enable a contour conforming even after multiple applications of either hot or cold therapy. Its nicely looked RF sealing around packs allows multiple uses and is particularly durable. They are designed for home and clinical use. Put the pack in microwave or chill in freezer. When heated, soothes discomfort from stiff neck, backache, arthritis, sprains and bruises. When chilled, soothes discomfort from injury, sprains and strains, muscle soreness, bruises, swelling and tension headaches.

The filler inside is a non-toxic biodegradable formulated and filtered BENTONITE clay, a natural hydrocolloid filling. This non-crystallizing filler allows pack to contour and stay pliable when heated or chilled. The pack can be applied with Velcro hook to hold it in place when use.

Bentonite benefits the body because it has the ability to produce a charge that is electrical in nature when it comes in contact with liquid. When the clay touches any type of fluid (normally water), it takes on a different charge and is thought to bind to any present toxins within the fluid.

While in its natural state, bentonite clay has negatively charged molecules. Most toxins and heavy metals have positively charged molecules. This allows the two to bind together easily and stay united while the toxin removal process happens.

BENTONITE clay essentially “seeks” toxins in the body to bind with because naturally any substance that has a missing ion (which gives it its “charge”) looks for oppositely charged types of substances that will make it complete. Upon binding, the clay is then able to help remove toxins, chemicals, impurities and “heavy metals” from the gut, skin and mouth.

Instructions for Use:

---

For Heat Therapy (refers to a 800-watt microwave as a base):

1. Clean microwave before use.
2. Pack must be at room temperature before microwave use.
3. Distribute clay evenly in compress and lay flat in microwave.
4. Heat at full power for one minute.  
5. Knead contents to distribute heat. Check for desired temperature (temperature will continue to rise slightly). If compress is too hot, let cool until temperature is acceptable.
6. If additional heat is desired, return to microwave and heat in 15-second increments. Do not exceed total heating time of 100 seconds. Excessive heating may cause pack to rupture and leak.
7. Store pack at room temperature for future hot therapy use.

For Cold Therapy:

1. Place pack in freezer for at least 1 hour or more. 
2. Knead contents and apply to affected area. Wrap to personal comfort level.
3. Monitor skin during application to avoid frostbite. If pack feels too cold, wrap in towel or OUR TERRY COVER. 
4. Place pack in freezer bag and store in freezer for future cold therapy use.

Product Warning/Cautions on Applications:

Do not heat compress in microwave more than two minutes for each use. Excessive heating may cause pack to rupture or leak.

Check to make sure pack is not too cold or too hot before applying to injured area.

Treatment time should not exceed 30 minutes. 

Constantly monitor pack application to ensure the patients skin is not becoming irritated.

Damage to the skin can occur from exposure to extreme heat or cold. Apply or remove towels between compress and injured area if necessary.

Apply to infants and children with extreme caution.

Consult physician before using on persons with circulatory problems, desensitized feeling to temperature or who are non-communicative.

This product is non-toxic, however, it is not intended to be eaten.
