Description
Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint Ankle Foot Orthosis, NGL-1007-1
Plantar fasciitis refers to the state of chronic inflammation of the plantar fascia ligament, a connective tissue which begins at the heel and spreads out to the underside of each of the five toes. This inflammation causes pain on the bottom of the foot, especially first thing in the morning, while some people suffer all day.
Constant stress over the years to the feet, either due to extra body weight or the frequent wearing of shoes that provide little or no arch support (flat shoes like flip-flops are a prime example) can eventually lead to this painful foot condition.
The plantar fascia absorbs shock for the foot during any activity that requires the extension of the toes. So, you can just imagine that anytime a person is on their feet, the plantar fascia is involved, as it tightens and heightens the arch of the foot.
Our Night splint holds your foot in dorsalflexion at a 90 degree angle provide exercise while you are sleeping so your pain is greatly diminished in the morning.
